The Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Cancer hospital is dedicated to provide safe and state-of-the-art anesthesia care, pain management and life support for cancer patients.
Comprehensive preoperative assessment, patient optimization before anaesthesia and surgery, careful administration and monitoring of anaesthesia and high quality postoperative care supports in minimizing the risk of major surgery. The department has been constantly upgrading its ability to monitor patients under anaesthesia, deliver postoperative care in surgical ICU and intensive care of critically ill patients in medical ICU.

Intensive care services in surgical ICU for post operative care for major and extensive surgeries and in medical ICU for other critically ill patient who may require both non-invasive and invasive ventilator support.
Care in high dependency unit for post-operative pain management.
Pain Management for acute / chronic cancer pain.
