The Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Cancer Research Institute (DSIR-SIRO certified, Govt. Of India) is a unit of Himadri Memorial Cancer Welfare Trust and is closely working with the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Cancer Hospital. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Cancer Hospital (NCRI) is a well-organized Institute to provides cancer treatment at an affordable cost professionally and compassionately catering to North-East and Eastern India, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan. The Research Institute is a well-organized and well-equipped molecular biology lab that constitutes a separate research unit embedded within the hospital campus. A multidisciplinary team of clinicians and research professionals are collaborating to develop a systems medicine approach for cancer research for patient benefit.

Essential Requirement: M Sc./ M Tech in life science/ biological science/ applied biology/ bioinformatics/ biostatistics/ biotechnology/ microbiology/ biochemistry/ zoology/ botany/ other relevant subjects along with NET-JRF/LS/SET qualified candidates of CSIR/UGC/DBT/ICMR/DST INSPIRE or equivalent examination. Working experience and clear concept/knowledge of cancer biology/ molecular biology laboratory experimental techniques.

Job position & details: Initially the appointment to the position will be for 1 year and it may extend for the next 2 years. The position is required for the project entitled “A study of prognostic risk-assessment analysis and disease-monitoring through blood-based MALAT1 expression in association with perineural invasion and lympho-vascular invasion in oral squamous cell carcinoma” funded by Lady Tata Memorial Trust to Dr. Ruma Dey Ghosh (Principal Investigator). The selected candidate has to coordinate with the clinicians and patients to recruit them for this study, sample collection and processing, lab work, and experiments for the successful execution of this project. The efficient candidate may be selected further for PhD program from our research Institute. Salary: JRF: 31000/- plus 24% HRA; FA: 18000/- plus 24% HRA.
