Dr. Ashis Mukhopadhyay (1963-2020), MD, DNB, DCH (Medical & Hemato-Oncologist) the Founder & Former Director of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Cancer Hospital, Kolkata was a visionary leader whose life’s mission was to make quality cancer care accessible to all. After returning from Tata Memorial Cancer Hospital, Mumbai, he was deeply inspired to establish a comprehensive cancer treatment center in his hometown. In the year 2000 he has conducted the very first Bone Marrow Transplant & Cord Blood Transplant in Eastern India. His dream was not only to provide world-class treatment facilities but also to build an environment filled with compassion, hope, and dignity for every patient battling cancer.
Our hospital is equipped with advanced technologies and a multidisciplinary team of expert oncologists, surgeons, and caregivers. Dr. Mukhopadhyay’s relentless efforts ensured that patients from every corner of India — and even abroad — could access specialized care.
